About the position

The Oracle Database Administrator with APEX Experience is responsible for implementing, administering, managing, and monitoring Oracle databases in both production and non-production environments. This role requires advanced knowledge in SQL and PL/SQL, as well as experience with database automation and performance tuning. The position is remote and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance and ensure data integrity and security.

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, manage, and monitor Oracle databases in production and non-production environments.
• Ensure data integrity and data security is maintained.
• Develop and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.
• Align database automation with Enterprise CI/CD workflows using automation orchestrators like Jenkins.
• Lead initiatives to design and implement performance tuning improvements.
• Advise developers on tuning options using Explain Plan for performance improvement.
• Support cross-functional development teams in identifying data relationships and constraints to optimize application/query performance.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues in development and production databases using Oracle 11/19c.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle databases on Solaris/Linux systems.
• Use Oracle SQL Developer and Erwin Modeling tool for data modeling and database support.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience implementing, administering, managing, and monitoring Oracle databases.
• 8 years of advanced knowledge in developing and optimizing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.
• 8 years of experience with database automation and CI/CD workflows.
• 8 years of hands-on experience with APEX development.
• 8 years of experience in performance tuning and advising developers on tuning options.
• 8 years of experience supporting cross-functional development teams.
• 8 years of in-depth knowledge of Oracle internal views and architecture.
• 8 years of experience analyzing and resolving complex database issues.
• 8 years of experience monitoring and fine-tuning SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle databases.
• 8 years of experience using Oracle SQL Developer and Erwin Modeling tool.
