About the position

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team at ClinDCast LLC in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Oracle databases, particularly within the Oracle eBusiness Suite environment (version 12.2.9). The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our Oracle databases, as well as troubleshooting any issues that arise. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our database systems, which are essential for our operations. The DBA will be tasked with installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle database software and related products. This includes monitoring and optimizing database performance using tools such as Oracle Grid Control. The successful candidate will perform database backups, restores, and recovery procedures, ensuring that data is secure and recoverable in case of any failures. Implementing and maintaining database security measures to protect sensitive data is also a key responsibility of this role. In addition to technical skills, the DBA will need to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Collaboration with other IT teams is essential to ensure the smooth operation of Oracle eBusiness Suite applications. The DBA will also be expected to stay up-to-date with Oracle technologies and best practices, continuously improving their skills and knowledge to enhance the performance of our database systems.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Oracle eBusiness Suite version 12.2.9.
  • Experience with Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools such as Oracle Grid Control.
  • Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
