Apogee Engineering is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support the Army's Analytic Group (AAG). This full-time position is based in Fairfield, CA, and offers hybrid work flexibility. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of Oracle Database software. The role requires a proactive approach to database management, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance. The DBA will manage database creation, operational resources, backup and recovery processes, and user account privileges. Additionally, the DBA will support application releases, monitor database operations 24/7, and assist with troubleshooting as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle Database management, including experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Oracle Data Guard, and Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN). The DBA will also be expected to perform storage management and assist with data transfers between environments. This position requires a commitment to maintaining security standards and compliance with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for Oracle Database. The DBA will work closely with other team members to ensure the success of database operations and contribute to the overall mission of the AAG.
