Responsibilities

• Handle and lead complex database management initiatives involving multiple disciplines and business groups.
• Design database environments and create databases.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain database objects.
• Implement and maintain database security and audit solutions.
• Design and maintain database recovery solutions and execute data recovery.
• Manage database performance, capacity, and availability.
• Implement, upgrade, and patch DBMS software.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues, providing expertise in database tuning.
• Work with application teams to identify and tune long-running SQL statements.
• Consult with client groups to provide strategic solutions for data/database architecture.
• Advise on data analysis principles, methods, and trends using effective communication.
• Design complex Data Transformation Strategies for Business Intelligence or data migration.
• Develop and maintain database support documentation.
• Provide oversight, mentoring, and leadership to less experienced staff.
• Provide hands-on technical support for migrating Oracle databases to the cloud.
• Collaborate with on-premises DBA staff.
• Develop customer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies.
• Engage in technical problem-solving across multiple technologies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional DBA experience.
• Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, with OEM and RAC on Linux.
• Experience with Oracle Replication using Golden Gate or Data Guard with VLDB databases including partitioning.
• Proficiency in scripting in Linux shell.
• Availability for some DBA support after hours and weekends.
• Experience with Native AWS Services (CloudEndure, DataSync, CloudWatch, S3, EC2, RDS, AMI) is a plus.
