About the position

The Oracle Database Architect role at Pantex involves designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle database management systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise in database architecture, security, and systems analysis, with responsibilities that include project leadership, interaction with external personnel, and ensuring compliance with federal and corporate regulations. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install Oracle database management systems.
• Use data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
• Determine data storage and optimum storage requirements.
• Prepare system requirements, source analysis, and process analyses throughout the database implementation.
• Install and configure Oracle database software to company standards and cyber requirements.
• Maintain existing Oracle database infrastructure, including disaster recovery testing and performance monitoring.
• Guide the successful completion of major programs and functions in a project leadership role.
• Represent the organization as a prime technical contact on contracts and projects.
• Interact with senior external personnel on advanced technical matters requiring coordination between organizations.
• Provide expertise in sophisticated mathematical, logic, or security techniques for analysis of complex engineering and technical systems applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/science discipline with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or thirteen or more years of relevant education, training, and/or progressive experience may be considered.
• Exceptional knowledge of Oracle database access tools, languages, and techniques for retrieving and updating data.
• Exceptional knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of Oracle database files and structures.
• Extensive understanding of Oracle database security and IT vulnerabilities.
• Expertise in systems analysis and quality control analysis.
