Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Architect to join our team in Shreveport, LA. This role is critical in supporting our Oracle/Linux Opportunity, where you will be responsible for overseeing the architecture and management of Oracle databases across the organization. You will coordinate with project managers, customers, and Oracle to obtain necessary patches and manage the migration of approximately 75 Oracle databases from RHEL 6 to Oracle Enterprise 8, as well as 25-30 web applications from RHEL 7 to Oracle Enterprise 8. Your expertise will help reduce operational impact during these migrations. In this position, you will develop and direct a cohesive strategy for Oracle database architecture that aligns with the customer's goals and innovation initiatives. You will lead the evaluation and integration of emerging database technologies, ensuring that our data management practices remain ahead of industry trends. Your responsibilities will include designing advanced, reliable, and scalable database architectures that meet complex business requirements while optimizing performance and ensuring data security and compliance. You will oversee the implementation of new database architectures, working closely with database administrators and IT project teams. Performance tuning, query optimization, and system scaling will be key areas of focus to ensure efficient database operations. You will also implement advanced techniques for data partitioning, indexing, and utilize Oracle optimization tools to enhance performance. As part of your role, you will architect solutions for high availability and disaster recovery, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss. You will establish encryption, auditing, and access control strategies to protect data integrity and lead the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models that reflect business data needs. Additionally, you will guide the integration of Oracle databases with other data sources and applications, ensuring seamless data flows and consistency across the enterprise. Your leadership will extend to mentoring database architects and administrators, promoting best practices and continuous learning. You will evaluate and recommend database tools, software, and services, overseeing vendor selection and contract negotiations. Staying abreast of developments in Oracle technologies and database management fields will be essential to assess their applicability to our organizational needs. You will also develop comprehensive documentation for database architectures, policies, and procedures, and engage with senior management to align database strategies with business objectives.
