About the position

The Oracle Database Developer position at HII's Mission Technologies division involves developing and maintaining client-server applications using Oracle technologies. The role supports the US Postal Service (USPS) by providing mission-critical engineering and technical services, ensuring efficient application performance and database management. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule after acclimatization to the team and environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Client-Server application development using Oracle 12c/19c.
• Manage Oracle WebLogic application and utilities through WebLogic Administration.
• Install applications on WebLogic, perform upgrades, patching, and troubleshoot problems.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks, performance tuning, and support customer issues.
• Plan, design, develop, test, and deploy applications.
• Write SQL Queries for application development and report generation.
• Develop complex database objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages using SQL and PL/SQL.

Requirements

• 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; 0 years experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• 5+ years of Client-Server application development using Oracle 11g/12c/19c.
• 3+ years of WebLogic Administration skills.
• Extensive Client-Server application development experience using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document design and support needs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a sensitive security clearance from USPS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Java, C++ and Apex development.
