About the position

The Oracle Database Developer position at HII's Mission Technologies division involves developing and maintaining client-server applications using Oracle technologies. The role requires expertise in Oracle database management, WebLogic administration, and SQL/PLSQL programming. The developer will work closely with the USPS Engineering team to ensure the performance and reliability of applications, contributing to mission-critical projects for federal and international clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform Client-Server application development using Oracle 12c/19c.
• Perform WebLogic Administration by managing Oracle WebLogic application and utilities.
• Install applications on WebLogic, performing upgrades, doing patching and troubleshooting problems.
• Perform regular maintenance checks, performance tuning and support customer issues.
• Plan, design, develop, test and deploy applications.
• Write SQL Queries for application development and report generation.
• Develop complex database objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages using SQL and PL/SQL.

Requirements

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• 5+ years of Client-Server application development using Oracle 11g/12c/19c.
• 3+ years of WebLogic Administration skills.
• Extensive Client-Server application development experience using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to document design and support needs.
• The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a sensitive security clearance from USPS.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Java, C++ and Apex development is a plus.
• Experience working in a virtualized environment is a plus.
• Help Desk or Customer Support experience is a plus.
