About the position

The position at Schwab involves working within the Stock Plan Services team to support equity compensation for B2B clients. The primary focus is on launching a consolidated platform of microsites that integrates various applications into a seamless user experience. The role emphasizes maintaining excellent customer support while achieving engineering objectives, requiring collaboration with a diverse team to deliver high-quality products and services.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex T-SQL and PL/SQL code to identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement data models for scalable and performance solutions with large data volumes.
• Use Oracle Data Integrator to manage and maintain data integrations between interconnect databases.
• Identify and address application data issues that affect application integrity.
• Ensure that the database design meets functional and technical requirements, including design-for-performance.
• Develop, analyze, and maintain technical documentation for database patterns, commonly used functions, and other critical areas of the databases.
• Collaborate effectively with Technical leads, Architects, and Database Developers to maintain the overall data architecture and success measures for the enterprise.
• Review deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and adherence to all quality management plans and standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years in developing, modeling, and deploying enterprise solutions with a focus on Oracle databases.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
• 5+ years of experience with data modeling, ETL design, and ETL tools.
• 5+ years of experience with PL/SQL programming, including creating packages, functions, stored procedures, and views.
• 5+ years of experience writing and deciphering complex SQL queries.
• 5+ years of experience with Unix/Shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience in creating scalable and high-performing solutions with large data volumes in Oracle DB.
• Experience with complex data models.
• Experience using Oracle Data Visualizer.
