About the position

This position is for an Oracle Developer on a long-term contract basis, primarily focused on development tasks with a minor emphasis on database management. The role requires extensive experience in Oracle development, particularly in PL/SQL and SQL, and involves working with large datasets and performance tuning of complex queries. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Oracle database applications.
• Write and optimize PL/SQL procedures, views, and packages.
• Tune complex SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Manage and work with large datasets and partitioned data.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Oracle development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in PL/SQL and ANSI SQL.
• 5+ years of experience writing procedures, views, and packages.
• Extensive experience in tuning complex queries for performance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Experience working with partitioned data.
• Self-starter and self-managing.
