About the position
Genesis10 is seeking an Oracle DB Engineer for a 12+ month contract position in the financial industry. The role involves assisting with the development of a merchant services core platform and collaborating with business partners to gather requirements and document designs. The engineer will work closely with Tech/Business product owners and the architecture team to ensure alignment and direction.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of merchant services core platform
- Work closely with business partners to develop requirements
- Record and document the design
- Collaborate with Tech/Business product owners and architecture team for direction
Requirements
- Experience between 10-15 years
- Strong leadership, communication, writing, and relationship skills across varied levels of influence
- Ability to design the system with little direction or guidance
- Excellent analytical and logical skills
- Self-starter with thought leadership
- Ability to partner with both technology and business associates to implement solutions
- Strong knowledge of project life cycle, Java, Spring Boot, AWS and Azure
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
Nice-to-haves
- Payments or Banking background
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to team environment
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall methodology and understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Ruby tools
