About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Oracle DB Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position. The Oracle DB Engineer will play a crucial role in assisting with the development of the merchant services core platform. The position requires close collaboration with business partners to develop requirements, record and document the design, and work closely with the Tech/Business product owners and architecture team for direction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database engineering and a deep understanding of the financial services sector, enabling them to contribute effectively to the project.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of merchant services core platform
• Work closely with business partners to develop requirements
• Record and document the design
• Collaborate with Tech/Business product owners and architecture team for direction

Requirements

• Experience between 10-15 years
• Strong leadership, communication, writing, and relationship skills across varied levels of influence
• Ability to design the system with little direction or guidance
• Excellent analytical and logical skills
• Self-starter with thought leadership
• Ability to partner with both technology and business associates to implement solutions
• Strong knowledge of project life cycle, Java, Spring Boot, AWS and Azure
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Require knowledge in below technologies

Nice-to-haves

• Payments or Banking background
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to team environment
• Experience working in Agile or Waterfall methodology and understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Ruby tools
