About the position

The Oracle DBA 3 position is focused on the installation and administration of Oracle Database 19c, Oracle RAC, and Golden Gate as part of an ERP upgrade project. The role involves standard database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning, while also requiring collaboration with a diverse team in a remote work environment. The candidate must be adaptable to work outside standard business hours based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Install Oracle Database 19c, Oracle RAC, and Golden Gate to establish a new database tier.
• Perform capacity planning for the ERP upgrade project.
• Handle standard administration tasks including backup, recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Tune database performance and assist the upgrade project team as needed.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team using remote collaboration tools.
• Estimate work, set deadlines, and prioritize tasks to align with the project schedule.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with Oracle Database 12c or higher.
• 8+ years of experience with Oracle RAC.
• 8+ years of experience with Golden Gate.
• 8+ years of experience with Advanced SQL.
• 8+ years of experience with Shell scripting.
• 8+ years of experience supporting multi-terabyte databases.
• 8+ years of experience with advanced performance tuning.
• 8+ years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• 8+ years of experience with MS Teams and Channel communication in a large team.

Nice-to-haves

• 4+ years of experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government).
• 2+ years of experience with SharePoint.
• 1+ year of experience with Jira.
• 1+ year of experience working with the Scrum framework.
