About the position

Infosys is seeking an Oracle DBA Architect who will design, develop, implement, enhance, and support database systems in alignment with business goals. This role encompasses all aspects of database design, including replication, performance monitoring and tuning, backup and recovery, scripting, software installation and upgrades, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance of production databases utilizing Golden-Gate. The architect will collaborate with operations teams to ensure high availability and security of database systems while managing multiple complex projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, enhance, and support database systems.
• Manage database design for replication, performance monitoring, and tuning.
• Oversee backup and recovery processes for production databases.
• Administer database users and security in compliance with enterprise guidelines.
• Create and maintain documentation for production policies and procedures.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues affecting systems and databases.
• Provide leadership by assigning work and resolving problems within the team.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant Information Technology experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent, with consideration for work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration and Oracle Exadata Administration.
• Proficiency with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Oracle Golden Gate.
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and high availability solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Oracle ZFS appliance.
• Exposure to Foglight Monitoring tool.
• Project management and oversight experience.
