About the position

The Oracle DBA-Hybrid position at MSys Inc. is a one-year contract role based in Austin, Texas, requiring a hybrid work arrangement of three days onsite and two days remote. The role focuses on automating the full life cycle of complex enterprise IT environments, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools. Candidates must have extensive experience in designing and implementing automation solutions to enhance scalability, repeatability, and recoverability in various IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Automate the full life cycle of complex enterprise IT environments using IaC, CaC, and CI/CD tools.
• Design and implement automation solutions for scalability, repeatability, and recoverability.
• Utilize tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible Automation Platform, Github actions, Jenkins, and Liquibase for automation.
• Work with programming/script languages including Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, bash, and Perl.
• Manage containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes platforms like PODMAN, Docker, EE/OpenShift/Rancher, and packaging tools like Helm Charts and Kustomize.
• Design and implement solutions using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms regarding project requirements and updates.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in automating complex enterprise IT environments.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing advanced automation solutions using various tools.
• Experience with programming/script languages such as Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, bash, and Perl.
• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms and packaging tools.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Nice-to-haves

• Development experience using Java, J2EE, Java Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, JSF/Struts, XML.
• Experience with WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, Java, SQL tools (PL/SQL developer, SQL plus), LDAP, Splunk, Dynatrace.
