About the position

The Oracle DBA position at Insight Global involves joining a team of experienced DBAs and System Administrators to manage and support Oracle databases for 25 international customers. The role requires a self-motivated individual with deep expertise in Oracle Database Administration, focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, performance optimization, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage Oracle database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Data Guard and RAC.
• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and index optimization.
• Oversee backup and recovery procedures using RMAN and flashback techniques.
• Ensure database security by implementing best practices and security measures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Oracle Database Administration.
• Thorough understanding of high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Expertise in backup and recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of Oracle security best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic SQL knowledge and understanding of SQL syntax.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix fundamentals.
• Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
