The Oracle DBA Tech Team Lead/Manager position is a critical role within our organization, located in Chelmsford, MA. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Oracle EBS and ERP Cloud platforms. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience with Oracle EBS (11i/R12) and at least 5 years in an ERP Cloud environment, along with a total of 20+ years of experience as an Oracle ERP Applications DBA. The role demands managerial and supervisory experience, particularly in executing at least two upgrade cycles in the past. The primary focus will be on reducing cutover downtime through process improvements during each upgrade iteration. The candidate must possess a deep understanding of EBS application architecture, concurrent managers, workflows, and the layout of applications on infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for both physical and application-level support. This includes managing the physical and technical aspects such as storage, security, and networking, as well as handling application-related issues like queries and user management. You will ensure that database resources are appropriately sized and that a design strategy is in place to maintain the database at a healthy size. The position also involves ensuring the availability and performance of multi-database and application environments that handle very large volumes of data. Additionally, you will manage the Oracle Cloud OCI platform, maintaining ongoing integrations and configurations to ensure the cloud platform remains in optimal condition. Routine DBA tasks such as database maintenance, backups, recovery, and table space management will also fall under your purview. You will conduct periodic health checks for databases and recommend necessary changes to enhance performance in the production environment. Collaboration with multiple infrastructure, security, and IT teams is essential for environment setup, maintenance, and support. This role is vital for planning and responding to service outages, including backup and restore operations, and monitoring system performance to diagnose and resolve software and hardware failures.
