The Oracle DBA Tech Team Lead/Manager position at Request Technology is a pivotal role that combines technical expertise with managerial responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Oracle EBS, with over 20 years of experience as an Oracle ERP Applications DBA, and will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of database management and application support. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of Oracle EBS architecture, including concurrent managers, workflows, and the layout of applications on infrastructure. The candidate will also be expected to have executed at least two upgrade cycles, focusing on cutover downtime reduction through process improvements during each upgrade iteration. In this role, the Tech Team Lead/Manager will support both physical and application-level database management. This includes ensuring that database resources are appropriately sized and that a design strategy is in place to maintain the database at a healthy size. The candidate will be responsible for the availability and performance of multi-database and application environments, which handle very large volumes of data. Additionally, the role involves managing the Oracle Cloud OCI platform, maintaining ongoing integrations and configurations to ensure the cloud platform remains in optimal condition. The responsibilities extend to routine DBA tasks such as database maintenance, backups, recovery, and table space management. The candidate will also execute periodic health checks for databases and recommend necessary changes to enhance performance in the production environment. Collaboration with multiple infrastructure, security, and IT teams is essential for environment setup, maintenance, and support, making this a critical function of the role. The candidate will also be responsible for planning and responding to service outages, including backup and restore operations, and monitoring system performance to diagnose and resolve software and hardware failures.
