About the position

As an experienced Oracle DBA at Deloitte, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Oracle databases while collaborating with a team of professionals in a supportive environment. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to innovative projects without the extensive travel demands typically associated with consulting roles. You will be part of the Project Delivery Talent Model (PDM), which focuses on long-term, onsite client service delivery, allowing you to build strong relationships with clients and work closely with them to meet their needs. In this role, you will be responsible for installing Oracle software, creating and managing Oracle databases, and performing upgrades to ensure that systems are running on the latest release levels. You will also manage the database's storage structures, users, and security, as well as schema objects such as tables, indexes, and views. Your expertise will be essential in making database backups and performing recovery operations when necessary, ensuring the integrity and availability of critical data. Additionally, you will be involved in server maintenance, evaluating and installing relevant patches, and diagnosing and resolving issues related to Hyperion infrastructure, hardware, and software. Effective communication will be key, as you will regularly interact with Engagement Managers, project team members, and representatives from various functional and technical teams. You will also lead client engagement workstreams focused on process improvement, optimization, and transformation, implementing best practices and driving operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Installing Oracle software

  • Leading client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes

Requirements

  • 10+ Years of Oracle Administration
  • 10 Years of Golden Gate replication
  • 5 Years in team leader or Consulting experience
  • Understanding of the MVC architecture, and hands-on experience with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, JSPs, servlets
  • Experience with database (RDBMS and NoSQL) - Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL
  • Experience with JPA, writing queries using Mongo Template, SpringJDBC Template, Hibernate XML mappings
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
