About the position

The Oracle DBA with IT Infrastructure Management role is a W2 contract position focused on managing and maintaining Oracle database systems within a client/server environment. The position requires expertise in performance tuning, database design, and maintenance procedures, as well as strong interpersonal and technical writing skills to effectively communicate with clients and document processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide performance monitoring and tuning for Oracle databases.
• Set up and maintain Oracle RAC, SQL, and Golden Gate systems.
• Create table space areas, tables, and views as part of logical and physical database design.
• Implement database maintenance procedures and performance improvements.
• Interface with Client/Server and Java programming languages, primarily Visual Basic.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with Oracle RAC, SQL, Golden Gate performance tuning, and RMAN.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with customer staff and contract personnel.
• Technical writing skills to document work performed and maintenance instructions.
