About the position

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Atlanta and Kennesaw, GA. This is a 12+ month contract position. The role primarily involves providing operational support to critical production systems as a Senior Oracle DBA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle databases, particularly with Oracle 19c, and will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of the database systems. The position requires a strong understanding of database architecture and the ability to implement effective backup and recovery strategies using tools such as RMAN and Export/Import. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with cloud concepts and have experience with Golden Gate and Microservices. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to critical production systems as a Senior Oracle DBA.
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of Oracle database systems.
• Implement effective backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Export/Import.
• Manage Oracle 19c Administration with RAC and Exadata experience.
• Utilize Golden Gate and Microservices in database management.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Oracle databases, particularly Oracle 19c.
• Experience with Golden Gate and Microservices.
• Strong performance tuning skills.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, Export/Import).
• Good understanding of database architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts, JIRA, and Agile fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
