Genesis10 is currently seeking a Database Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position that requires a highly skilled Oracle DBA with extensive experience in supporting large Oracle environments, particularly in UNIX systems. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 5 years specifically focused on Oracle RAC in UNIX environments. The role involves a variety of responsibilities including performance tuning, upgrading Oracle RAC 19c and GoldenGate environments, and configuring GoldenGate with a multimaster setup. In addition to technical skills, the position requires strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset. The successful candidate will be expected to proactively support the team's workload, stepping in to assist colleagues as needed. The role also includes on-call pager duty, which necessitates a readiness to address production issues as they arise. Candidates should be comfortable with shell scripting and Perl, and familiar with standard Oracle tools such as OEM, Toad, and SQL Developer. This position is particularly suited for individuals with DBA experience in financial institutions, as the environment is fast-paced and requires a keen ability to solve complex production problems. The contract is set to start on November 18, 2024, and will conclude on November 17, 2025.
