As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) located at Ft. Belvoir, VA, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Oracle databases in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to expand their skill sets and learn new technologies while working with some of the most innovative companies globally. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of Oracle databases, while also being familiar with MySQL and EDB PostgreSQL. Your role will involve staying up-to-date with vendor technologies and best practices, which is essential in maintaining a highly-available enterprise environment. In this position, you will be expected to handle various tasks including the design, installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrades, tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle Enterprise Databases. You will work with Oracle 19c and its features such as Multitenant Real Application Cluster (RAC), Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM), DataGuard, and Transparent Data Encryption (TDE). Your expertise in backup and recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) with Veritas Netbackup will be critical to ensuring data integrity and availability. This role requires a Secret Security clearance or higher, and US Citizenship is mandatory.
