About the position

The Oracle DBA position is responsible for managing and supporting Oracle databases, specifically focusing on advanced performance tuning and administration of multi-terabyte databases. The role requires extensive experience with Oracle Database technologies and collaboration with public sector organizations, particularly within the State of Texas. The DBA will be involved in installing and configuring Oracle Database 19c, Oracle RAC, and Golden Gate, as well as supporting an ERP upgrade project.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Oracle Database 19c, Oracle RAC, and Golden Gate.
• Perform advanced performance tuning on complex processes involving multi-terabyte databases.
• Manage backup, recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases.
• Assist the upgrade project team as needed during the ERP upgrade project.
• Support standard administration and maintenance tasks for Oracle databases.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Experience with Oracle Database 12c or higher.
• Proficiency in Oracle RAC and Golden Gate.
• Advanced SQL skills and shell scripting experience.
• Experience supporting multi-terabyte databases.
• Advanced performance tuning capabilities.
• Experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience with MS Teams and Channel communication in a large team setting.
• Experience working with public sector organizations (Federal, State, or Local Government).
• Experience with SharePoint and Jira.
• Familiarity with the Scrum framework.
