About the position

The Oracle EBS Apps DBA position is a full-time, permanent role based in Edison, NJ, with a focus on managing and optimizing Oracle E-Business Suite applications. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in database administration, specifically with Oracle E-Business Suite R12. The role requires a deep understanding of the technical and functional aspects of the Oracle E-Business Suite, including performance tuning, cloning processes, and troubleshooting various application issues. The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the applications, providing technical assistance to IT infrastructure and operations teams, and resolving performance-related issues reported by users. In this role, the DBA will perform critical tasks such as cloning the Oracle E-Business Suite using RMAN and ad utilities, monitoring application-related products, and managing SSL certificates. The position also involves troubleshooting concurrent managers and workflows, handling alerts from the monitoring system, and executing code migrations. The DBA will work closely with application support teams to address long-running requests and ensure optimal performance of the database and applications. A strong knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and RMAN for backups and recovery is essential for this position. Responsibilities

• Perform Oracle E-business suite cloning 12.1 using RMAN and ad utilities.
• Resolve various performance issues reported for applications and databases and tune queries to improve response time.
• Design and inspect infrastructure modeling and provide extensive technical assistance for IT infrastructure, IT OPS, App Support, and other support groups.
• Understand the high-level architecture of Oracle E-business suite application 12.1.3.
• Manage the cloning process from Production to DEV, TEST, UAT environments.
• Start and stop the Oracle E-business application services as needed.
• Troubleshoot concurrent managers, workflows, and ad utilities.
• Monitor application-related products such as Apache, oacoare, oafm, etc.
• Execute code migration using Datafix and Package execution.
• Manage SSL certificates and the renewal process.
• Troubleshoot long-running requests raised by the application support team.
• Handle alerts raised by the alert monitoring system from databases and applications.
• Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.
• Perform backups and recovery using RMAN.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS Apps DBA.
• Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Applications Database Administrator Certified Professional preferred.
• Strong experience in performance tuning and resolving application performance issues.
• Proficient in cloning processes and managing Oracle E-business application services.
• Good understanding of the high-level architecture of Oracle E-business suite application 12.1.3.
• Experience with troubleshooting concurrent managers and workflows.
• Knowledge of SSL certificates and renewal processes.
• Familiarity with monitoring application-related products and handling alerts.
