The EBS Financials Software Engineer plays a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of software within the Oracle EBS application areas. This position requires collaboration with various members of the Business and IT Community to ensure that all software solutions align with accepted IT guidelines. The Software Engineer will be responsible for executing critical projects and system enhancements, working closely with IT Leads and the IT Manager for Financial applications. Additionally, the role involves providing day-to-day IT support for the applications developed, ensuring that all solutions leverage the investment in the Oracle EBS platform effectively. In this role, the consultant will engage in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for EBS Financial systems projects and customizations. This includes working closely with business stakeholders to develop tailored business solutions, collaborating with other IT teams, vendors, and consultants to achieve project goals and milestones. The Software Engineer will gather and analyze business requirements, estimate design and development work, and evaluate the best options for solution architecture. A significant part of the job involves developing technical designs based on requirements from the business team and performing development tasks using PL/SQL, Oracle Application Express (APEX), and Oracle ORDS. Quality assurance is paramount, and the Software Engineer must ensure that system implementations meet high-quality standards while prioritizing and resolving outstanding issues. Adhering to PMO processes and code control standards using source control tools like SVN/GITS is essential. The consultant will also devise a test strategy and collaborate with offshore teams and business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Furthermore, the creation of functional and technical specifications, as well as deployment documents, must align with internal standards.
