About the position

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Oracle ETL Developer for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The anticipated start date for this position is as soon as possible, although this is subject to change. The role is expected to last for 12 months and is classified as a contract position with a hybrid work model. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a standard shift of 5x8 hours. The pay range for this position is between $65 and $70 per hour, although actual compensation may vary based on factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities. This pay range does not include additional non-standard compensation such as benefits, paid time off, or per diem. The Oracle ETL Developer will be responsible for application and ETL process development within the Global Banking Regulatory Data Source Ecosystem. This includes sourcing data from multiple systems into the Oracle Exadata Data Lake, conforming and provisioning the data to downstream systems. The developer will translate functional and technical requirements into detailed design documents and maintain security and data privacy throughout the process. Additionally, the role involves proposing best practices and standards, preparing high-level and low-level design documents, coding, unit testing, and supporting system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployment. Candidates must possess strong database programming skills, including the design and development of stored procedures, functions, tables, and triggers, as well as tuning SQL queries for optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving, analytical, and innovation skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Collaboration within a team environment is essential, and experience working in Agile teams is required. Familiarity with Oracle Exadata, PL/SQL, Python, REACT JS, Unix Shell Scripting, and Autosys is also necessary for this role.
