About the position

Park Aerospace Corp is a manufacturing company sites utilizing Oracle Applications and Databases, and Microsoft Office computer applications. The position Job responsibilities will involve providing functional application support for the current applications and participating in development projects and upgrades. The position will involve periodic travel to the company's manufacturing facility or company offices.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the business planning and acquisition of IT related capital equipment purchases.
  • Primary interface with Park Aerospace application provider / hosting service.
  • Evaluate application change requests for alignment with the company's business practices.
  • Ensure compliance of application change management to Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Prioritize importance and timing of development activities.
  • Interacts directly with plant and parent company management on IT issues.
  • Provides functional support for Oracle Manufacturing and Financial applications.
  • Provides routine troubleshooting and support as well as analysis and solution development for functional and technical issues.
  • Acts as an interface between the Oracle development team and the end users.
  • Develops recommendations for business streamlining and efficiencies.
  • Participates in the development of Oracle implementations and upgrades.
  • Implementation participation will include GAP analysis, re-engineering opportunities, investigation and application of new release functionality, system set up, testing and training.
  • Create, change, and disable user accounts per request.
  • Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • This position is required to participate in the 'On Call Support' to support off hour's emergency needs.
  • Other tasks / duties may be assigned as required to support the business.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with Oracle Application functionality required.
  • Oracle Financial application experience required.
  • Understanding of the Sarbanes / Oxley Act.
  • Experience with application set up and configuration processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office, proficiency in EXCEL is required.
  • Understanding of relational data base concepts and experience with SQL and Visual Basic.
  • General knowledge of computer and printer hardware.
  • Good analytical skills experienced with data analysis, extraction, conversion tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, high energy, team player.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
