About the position

As an Oracle HCM Functional Payroll Specialist on our Human Capital team, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll implementations. Your responsibilities will include system strategy development, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, and designing both as-is and to-be business processes. You will also be involved in prototype demonstrations, functional configuration, testing, and providing user training to clients. This position requires you to organize and deliver services across a variety of complex projects, ensuring that client needs are met effectively and efficiently. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will actively participate in the development of business and vendor relationships, serving as a Subject Matter Expert to provide valuable insights into client challenges. You will also take part in the proposal development process, including pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives. Managing project financials will be a key aspect of your role, which includes developing financial plans and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget. Furthermore, you will provide counseling and coaching to delivery teams and staff, supporting their professional development. Your involvement in staff recruitment and retention activities will also be essential, as you will provide input and guidance into the staffing process. Responsibilities

  • Assist with system strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, and designing business processes for Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll.
  • Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex projects.
  • Actively participate in the development of business and vendor relationships.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing insights into client challenges.
  • Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.
  • Engage in pre-sales, proposal, and RFP initiatives.
  • Manage project financials, including the development of financial plans.
  • Provide counseling, coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staff.
  • Participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, providing input into the staffing process.

Requirements

  • 7 years of consulting or industry experience delivering HCM solutions, preferably Oracle Cloud.
  • Experience with at least 1 full life-cycle implementation of the Payroll module for Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50%, on average, based on the work that you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Big 4 Consulting experience preferred.
  • Oracle Payroll Cloud Certified Implementation Specialist.
