About the position

The Oracle HCM Cloud Product Owner will lead the strategic progression and optimization of the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets business needs while driving innovation in HR processes. The Product Owner will support HCM users, define the product roadmap, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives, requiring a strong background in HR processes and hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud HCM.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Oracle HCM, focusing on Core HR, Recruiting, Learning, Talent Management, and Benefits.
  • Provide user training and support, ensuring end users understand Oracle HCM functionality and assisting with reporting needs.
  • Develop and maintain the Oracle HCM product roadmap, aligning it with business and HR strategy.
  • Act as the primary liaison among HR, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate HR processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies through the Oracle HCM system.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring the team works on the highest priority items and that user stories are well defined.
  • Oversee the implementation of new Oracle HCM modules and ensure successful integration with other systems.
  • Work closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to resolve issues and optimize system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a product owner or similar role, with at least 3 years managing Oracle HCM products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) HCM, including configuration and support.
  • Familiarity with HR data structures, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Experience building custom reports and data extracts using OTBI and Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with sensitive data.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex business processes.

  • Experience with 'Getting to Redwood' and using Visual Builder Studio (VBS)
  • Experience developing HCM analytics in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI)
  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Basic understanding of railroad industry data and systems
