About the position

OTSI (Object Technology Solutions, Inc) is seeking an experienced Oracle HCM QA Analyst to join our team for a contract position based in Overland Park, KS. This role is crucial for supporting the QA and testing activities associated with the implementation of Oracle HCM. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the BV team and the System Integrator (SI) to ensure a smooth migration to HCM. The primary focus will be on understanding business requirements and assisting in the development and execution of test scripts, as well as retesting defects for the assigned workstream. As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing standard QA and testing practices throughout the project lifecycle. This includes participating in all aspects of project testing, from developing test scripts based on business requirements and functional documentation to executing System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You will also play a key role in defect management, monitoring defect resolution, and coordinating testing efforts with project managers and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle HCM or similar ERP systems, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in testing and validating Oracle HCM Fusion functionality. Familiarity with Oracle CEMLI/RICEW is preferred, along with experience in developing test cases and plans for various Oracle HCM modules. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with both business and IT teams are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test scripts utilizing business requirements/functional documentation & design specifications.
  • Execute SIT test scripts, record actual results, document, and retest defects.
  • Assist in test defect management process, monitor, and report on defect resolution.
  • Review Test Scenario's and test scripts with QA Lead and business SMEs and incorporate feedback.
  • Coordinate execution of SIT test scripts with Project Managers and QA Lead.
  • Review test sequence and test data required for testing with Product Owners, Business Process Leads, and Business SMEs.
  • Work with QA Lead to outline Test plan for each cycle.
  • Create test data as needed for all testing cycles.
  • Participate in the test plan meeting and provide feedback.
  • Develop test scripts for UAT scenarios identified by Product Owners, Business Process Leads, and Business SMEs.
  • Prepare regression test suite and perform regression testing prior to each Go-Live.
  • Support end-to-end testing sessions.
  • Provide input for Go-NoGo decisions and participate in Go-NoGo meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in testing and validating Oracle HCM Fusion Functionality.
  • Oracle HCM Fusion functionality experience including Core HR, Benefits, LA, Payroll, Talent Management, Reports is required.
  • Familiarity with Oracle CEMLI / RICEW.
  • Experience in developing test cases and test plans for Oracle HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Reports, and Talent Management is required.
  • Experience in Data Migration testing, Functional, System Integration, User Acceptance Testing & E2E testing.
  • Experience in executing test cases to verify the functionality of the software and identify defects.
  • Creating and maintaining test data to support testing activities.
  • Experience working with business and IT teams to translate functional and non-functional requirements into test cases and test scripts.
  • Experience facilitating testing activities, conducting test runs and cycles, defect tracking, issue resolution and conducting defect triage meetings is required.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail & documentation skills required.
  • Have hands-on experience on writing manual tests, executing test runs, SIT & UAT test planning & execution.
