About the position

As a QA Analyst at TEKsystems, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Quality Assurance (QA) and testing activities for the implementation of Oracle HCM or similar ERP systems. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and assist in the development of test scripts. You will execute these scripts, document actual results, and retest any defects identified during the testing process. This position requires a strong understanding of standard QA/testing practices and active participation in all aspects of project testing throughout the implementation phase. In this role, you will be tasked with developing test scripts based on business requirements, functional documentation, and design specifications. You will execute System Integration Testing (SIT) test scripts, record results, and manage defect documentation and resolution processes. You will also coordinate with Project Managers and QA Leads to ensure the execution of test scripts aligns with project timelines. Your ability to review test scenarios and scripts with QA Leads and business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) will be essential in incorporating feedback and refining testing processes. Additionally, you will create test data as needed for various testing cycles and participate in test plan meetings to provide valuable input. Your expertise in developing test scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios will be critical, as will your ability to prepare regression test suites and perform regression testing prior to each Go-Live event. You will support end-to-end testing sessions and contribute to Go-NoGo decision-making processes, ensuring that all testing activities are thoroughly documented and communicated to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test scripts utilizing business requirements/functional documentation & design specifications.
  • Execute SIT test scripts, record actual results, document, and retest defects.
  • Assist in test defect management process, monitor, and report on defect resolution.
  • Review Test Scenario's and test scripts with QA Lead and business SME's and incorporate feedback.
  • Coordinate execution of SIT test scripts with Project Managers, QA Lead.
  • Review test sequence, test data required for testing with Product Owners, Business Process Leads and Business SMEs.
  • Work with QA Lead to outline Test plan for each cycle.
  • Create test data as needed for all testing cycles.
  • Participate in the test plan meeting and provide feedback.
  • Develop test scripts for UAT scenarios identified by Product Owners, Business Process Leads and Business SMEs.
  • Prepare regression test suite and perform regression testing prior to each Go-Live.
  • Support end to end testing sessions.
  • Provide input for Go-NoGo decisions and participate in go-NoGo meeting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in testing and validating Oracle HCM Fusion Functionality.
  • Oracle HCM Fusion functionality experience including Core HR, Benefits, LA, Payroll, Talent Management, Reports is required.
  • Familiarity with Oracle CEMLI / RICEW.
  • Experience in developing test cases and test plans for Oracle HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Reports, and Talent Management is required.
  • Experience in Data Migration testing, Functional, System Integration, User Acceptance Testing & E2E testing.
  • Experience in executing test cases to verify the functionality of the software and identify defects.
  • Creating and maintaining test data to support testing activities.
  • Experience working with business and IT teams to translate functional and non-functional requirements into test cases and test scripts.
  • Experience facilitating testing activities, conducting test runs and cycles, defect tracking, issue resolution and conducting defect triage meetings is required.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail & documentation skills required.
  • Have hands on experience on writing manual tests, executing test runs, SIT & UAT test planning & execution.
