About the position

Arconic is currently in search of an Oracle Linux Database Administrator to join our Global Rolled Products Team in Bettendorf, IA. This position is critical in managing and maintaining our Oracle Linux databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and upgrading of Oracle databases, as well as performing regular maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and performance tuning. The role requires a strong understanding of database architecture and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Oracle Linux databases to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with Oracle Linux databases.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture and management principles.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery techniques.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization of databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
