About the position

The NetSuite SuitePeople Product Director is responsible for leading the Workforce Management product vision and strategy within a global team. This role involves balancing competing product demands, driving product development through an agile environment, and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. The director will manage a team of product managers, collaborate with various stakeholders, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance product offerings for small to medium-sized businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a long-term product vision and strategy for the Workforce Management software portfolio.
  • Own and refine the product roadmap, balancing business priorities with customer needs and market landscape.
  • Lead in implementing roadmap features by managing across the product life-cycle using design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Drive Agile and Lean practices within the product management team to optimize product development cycles.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success to develop and launch products.
  • Lead market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends influencing product decisions.
  • Act as the key liaison between senior leadership, sales, engineering, and external customers to ensure clear communication of product goals.
  • Leverage data and analytics to measure product performance and inform product decisions.
  • Partner with marketing and sales to define and execute go-to-market strategies for new products and features.
  • Engage directly with customers and industry thought leaders to understand their challenges and translate insights into product features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management with a strong success record, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience managing enterprise software products, preferably in workforce management across various industries.
  • Proven track record of driving product innovation and managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to craft and execute a product vision that supports business objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with a focus on team development.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, especially with C-suite executives.
  • Advanced proficiency with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and data analytics tools.
