About the position

The Principal Solutions Architect is a highly seasoned, senior consultant who has held a number of different consultancy roles throughout their career. They will be responsible for the development of the overall vision that underlies the project and have the ability to transform that vision through execution into the solution. They will work very closely with key business stakeholders, business analysts, project and program managers, delivery managers, technical leads, quality assurance leads, and system engineers throughout the life of a project. They will provide subject matter expertise to drive direction and provide the best solution.

Responsibilities

• Design and recommend project solutions for clients that leverage industry best practices; ensure that these solutions meet strategic business and IT objectives for the organization.
• Provide strong subject matter expertise to identify and translate business and system requirements into design artifacts and documents.
• Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external resources, collaborate with project and delivery managers to provide estimates, and develop the overall implementation solution plan for area of expertise.
• Identify the most challenging components and greatest risks of a proposed solution and draw up appropriate plans to mitigate or strengthen the viability of an approach.
• Provide advice and guidance to clients on implementation strategies.
• Develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with clients.
• Serve as a lead in the implementation planning process providing work plans, estimates and scoping for area of expertise.
• Manage assigned scope, client expectations, and client issues for all assignments.
• Provide education and knowledge transfer for clients.
• Collaborate with the Meta management team in order to contribute to the further development and strategy of the Meta organization.
• Work closely with business development team to devise sales strategy and account plans, prepare proposals, present solutions, develop statements of work, and support any other sales activities.

• Ability to act as leader, mentor, guru or negotiator.
• Extensive network of contacts/references within the Oracle/PeopleSoft education and government communities.
• Participation with user groups and industry organizations to communicate value proposition of Meta in customer success.
• Ability to spot opportunities on customer sites, and work with the Business Development team to realize those opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum 7 years in a role focused on Oracle/PeopleSoft software implementation and support for public sector.
• Insight into full suite of Oracle/PeopleSoft Enterprise solutions.
• Demonstrated expert for multiple Oracle/PeopleSoft products and has an in-depth knowledge of at least one product line or application technology with working knowledge of the integration of other products within the suite, as well as touch points with other suites.
• A good understanding of the Oracle/PeopleSoft technical architecture.
