About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Architect position is a contract role focused on defining architectural vision and solution architecture that aligns with enterprise strategies. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, leading the design and implementation of architectural frameworks, and providing guidance on best practices in technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define an architectural vision and solution architecture aligned with enterprise architecture strategy.
• Describe solution intent and associated operating environment, determining primary systems and their interfaces.
• Evaluate the impact of strategic design decisions and ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
• Work with stakeholders and vendors to create solution intent and architectural vision.
• Lead the rapid shaping of high-level architecture based on emerging business requirements.
• Utilize best practices and documentation to create architectural designs and suggest improvements.
• Plan and prioritize technology-focused backlog items with Product Manager/Owner.
• Clarify architecture for development teams and provide solution options for architectural impediments.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure non-functional requirements are met.
• Educate team members on technology practices and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and Oracle Fusion.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with Exadata and Golden Gate.
