About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Architect role is a contract position focused on defining architectural vision and solution architecture that aligns with enterprise architecture strategy. The architect will work closely with stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, lead the development of high-level architecture, and perform design and code reviews to meet non-functional requirements. This position requires collaboration across business and technology to create innovative solutions and educate team members on best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision and solution architecture aligned with enterprise architecture strategy.
• Describe solution intent and operating environment, determining primary systems and their interfaces.
• Ensure solutions are fit for purpose by collaborating with stakeholders and evaluating design decisions.
• Create solution intent and architectural vision, evolving it to an emerging backlog.
• Consult with business to understand problems and technology challenges, finding creative solutions.
• Lead the rapid shaping of high-level architecture, ensuring flexibility and modularity.
• Utilize best practices and documentation to create architectural designs and suggest improvements.
• Work with Product Manager/Owner to prioritize technology-focused backlog items.
• Clarify architecture for development teams and provide solution options for impediments.
• Perform design and code reviews to meet non-functional requirements.
• Educate team members on technology practices and best practices.

Requirements

• Proficient in Oracle, PL/SQL, and Oracle Fusion.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Shell Scripting.
• Knowledge of Exadata and Golden Gate.
