About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will play a crucial role in the transition from legacy Oracle databases to a new cloud-based ERP database solution. This position requires a strong understanding of Oracle ERP systems, as well as proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and UNIX Shell scripting. The developer will be responsible for upgrading existing database views, stored procedures, and batch jobs, as well as creating new ones to ensure seamless data integration between the legacy data warehouse and the new ERP system. The role demands a collaborative approach, working closely with the project team to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. In addition to development tasks, the IT Programmer will perform data analysis and validation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data transfers. Thorough documentation of all developed code, scripts, and procedures is essential for maintaining clarity and facilitating future updates. The developer will also troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data integration and interface functionality, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards of performance and efficiency. Regular performance evaluations will be conducted based on deliverables, teamwork, and adherence to project timelines, with continuous feedback provided to enhance project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new PL/SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures to support data integration between the legacy data warehouse and the new ERP.
  • Modify and optimize existing PL/SQL code to improve performance and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the project team to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of data transfers.
  • Document all developed code, scripts, and procedures thoroughly.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and interface functionality.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems.
  • Strong experience with UNIX and SQL.
  • Expertise in PL/SQL and Shell Scripting.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in ERP data integration projects is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle database versions 12c and 19c.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ERP solutions.
