About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer position at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC involves working with advanced SQL and Oracle PL/SQL technologies to develop and maintain complex database systems. The role requires a strong understanding of modern RDBMS products, particularly Oracle, and familiarity with PostgreSQL is considered a plus. The developer will be responsible for creating and optimizing database objects such as stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers, utilizing SQL and PL/SQL to ensure efficient data handling and processing. In addition to database development, the position demands extensive experience with ETL processes and data modeling. The developer will work with Informatica Platform, applying best practices in Informatica PowerCenter, Data Transformation, and Informatica B2B Data Exchange products. The role also includes creating mappings and workflows, implementing ETL concepts, and ensuring data integrity and performance through effective query tuning and optimization techniques. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in UNIX/Linux environments and experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum. Familiarity with DevOps practices, including tools like UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes, is essential. The developer should also possess knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design principles, as well as programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Angular, or React, and be comfortable working with APIs and data formats like XML and JSON. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex database objects using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Create and optimize stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Implement ETL processes and data modeling using Informatica Platform.
• Create mappings and workflows in Informatica PowerCenter.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Utilize Agile methodologies and participate in Scrum practices.
• Work with DevOps tools such as UC4, Maven, and Jenkins for CI/CD processes.
• Apply object-oriented analysis and design principles in development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical and business needs.

Requirements

• Excellent working knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience with Unix Shell, Perl, or Python programming languages.
• Proficiency in modern RDBMS products, especially Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Strong ETL and data modeling experience with Informatica.
• Ability to create mappings, workflows, and implement ETL concepts.
• Experience in developing complex database objects and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of UNIX/Linux platforms and commands.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Atlassian products like JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of software methodologies, distributed networking, and databases.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with API gateways such as Gravitee.
