About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer position at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC involves working with a variety of technical skills and tools to develop and maintain database applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL, along with experience in Unix Shell scripting or programming languages such as Perl or Python. The role requires extensive proficiency in modern RDBMS products, particularly Oracle's latest version, and familiarity with PostgreSQL is considered a plus. In this role, the developer will be responsible for utilizing the Informatica Platform, applying best practices for Informatica PowerCenter, Data Transformation, and Informatica B2B Data Exchange products. A strong understanding of Informatica design concepts is essential, as well as experience in ETL processes and data modeling. The developer will create mappings, workflows, and implement ETL concepts effectively. The position also requires the development of complex database objects, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL. Performance tuning of SQL and PL/SQL queries, along with the use of tools like Explain Plan and Hints, is a critical aspect of the job. The candidate should have expertise in collections, exception handling, partitioning techniques, and analytics functions. Additionally, the role demands solid experience with UNIX/Linux platforms and familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SDLC best practices. Experience with Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket is also beneficial. The developer will work with DevOps tools, including UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices. Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design principles, as well as programming languages and frameworks like Java, Angular, or React, is preferred. Familiarity with API gateways, such as Gravitee, is a plus. Requirements

  • Excellent working knowledge and experience of SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Unix Shell (or Perl or Python) programming languages.

  • Expertise in collections, exception handling, partitioning techniques, BULK features, and analytics functions.
  • Solid experience with UNIX/Linux platforms and sufficient commands.
  • Agile working experience with Scrum and SDLC methodologies.
