About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will be responsible for creating back-end software for existing mission-critical applications within the DHS PMT IT Application Development team. This role requires interpreting business requirements, writing functional code, unit testing, and fixing defects in legacy code. The developer must be a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage source control across multiple branches.

Responsibilities

• Create back-end software for existing mission-critical applications.
• Interpret business requirement documents and write functional code.
• Perform unit testing of developed code.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad and SQL Plus (minimum 5 years).
• Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures.
• Ability to work with collections and async processes.
• Interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions.
• Ability to create complex DML and debug.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Attention to detail is of the utmost importance.
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience.
