About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer position at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC involves working with a variety of technical skills and tools to develop and maintain database applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL, along with experience in Unix Shell scripting or programming languages such as Perl or Python. The role requires extensive proficiency in modern RDBMS products, particularly Oracle's latest version, with PostgreSQL knowledge considered a plus. In this role, the developer will be responsible for utilizing the Informatica Platform, applying best practices for Informatica PowerCenter, Data Transformation, and Informatica B2B Data Exchange products. A strong understanding of Informatica design concepts is essential, as well as experience in ETL processes and data modeling. The developer will create mappings, workflows, and implement ETL concepts effectively. The position also requires the development of complex database objects, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL. Candidates should have experience with Standard Oracle Packages, Dynamic SQL, and performance tuning techniques, including query rewriting and the use of Explain Plan and Hints. Additionally, expertise in Collections, Exception Handling, and Partitioning techniques is necessary. Familiarity with UNIX/Linux platforms and Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SDLC, is important. Experience with tools such as Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket), DevOps practices, UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes will be beneficial. Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design principles, as well as programming languages and frameworks like Java, Angular, React, JPA, Spring Boot, XML, and JSON, is also required.
