Kforce has a client in downtown Houston, TX looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer. This position is on-site 3 days a week with the ability to work remotely for the other 2 days. This is a contract-to-hire role, allowing for conversion to a full-time employee after 6 months. As the Senior Developer, Applications, you will be primarily responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT applications within a middleware platform. You will interface with clients at all organizational levels, taking business requirements and delivering technical work to yield productive products for end-users. Your role will involve planning, development, coding, testing, migration to production, and the maintenance of applications across multiple technical landscapes. In this position, you will design user flows, platform architecture, software patterns, and data models to support both current and long-term business needs. Adhering to application standards and best practices is crucial, as is coordinating with upstream and downstream application teams and Infrastructure teams to ensure the overall success of the application. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting production issues and remedying these in a timely manner with minimal disruptions. Participation in disaster recovery efforts, including support for scheduled annual disaster recovery tests, will be part of your responsibilities, along with maintaining required documentation and coordinating user participation.
