About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer position at Beacon Systems, Inc. focuses on supporting the Division of Waste Management's application portfolio, which includes complex Oracle PL/SQL database objects and applications written in Oracle Forms and PHP. The role requires extensive experience in Oracle databases and application development, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the Division of Waste Management (DWM) application portfolio.
• Develop complex DML and DDL statements for Oracle databases.
• Create and maintain Oracle Forms applications.
• Implement full-stack development using JavaScript frameworks and PHP.
• Utilize responsive design frameworks for application development.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify and resolve application development issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports for various stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with Oracle databases, including DML and DDL development.
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Forms application development.
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, NodeJS, React, jQuery).
• 3+ years of experience as a full-stack developer.
• 3+ years of experience developing PHP applications using MVC frameworks, preferably CodeIgniter.
• Experience with responsive design frameworks, preferably Bootstrap.
• Familiarity with code repositories, preferably Git.
• Experience with continuous integration tools, preferably Jenkins.
• Knowledge of relational database designs and object-oriented design methodologies.
• Experience with database query tools (TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator).
• Knowledge of database security and role-based security.
• Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

• Oracle certification(s).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban).
• Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Docker.
• Experience implementing GIS applications.
• Experience developing RESTful web services.
• Knowledge of environmental regulatory business processes.
