About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer at Fiserv is responsible for applying business and application logic to drive product innovation through technical insights. The role focuses on developing stored program units, ensuring code quality, and enhancing productivity to deliver effective product capabilities and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and design solutions to fulfill those requirements
• Develop and unit test changes and provide UAT support
• Identify root causes of production issues, implement preventive measures to avoid recurring issues in production, and provide immediate solutions
• Optimize database performance by tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience modeling, developing, programming, implementing, tuning and maintaining application systems using Oracle PL/SQL
• 4-7 years of experience designing Oracle database applications, database schemas, stored procedures, functions and triggers using PL/SQL
• 4-7 years of experience with shell scripting, PL/SQL packages, procedures, materialized views, and functions
• 4-7 years of experience working on all phases of the data development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to testing, implementation and support
• 4-7 years of experience with relational databases, query design, report design, job automation, scheduling, Oracle database architecture, and working knowledge of SQL Server development, tuning and support
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Nice-to-haves

• 4-7 years of experience in the financial services, payments, or banking domains
• Advanced degree or certifications
