About the position

The Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer will collaborate with a global team of Software Engineers to create high-quality applications for the financial trading industry. This role emphasizes the need for a proven database developer who is eager to expand their knowledge and skills while being passionate about their work.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality applications servicing the financial trading industry.
• Collaborate with a global team of Software Engineers.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer.
• 5+ years of working in the financial industry is a plus.
• Strong RDBMS skills including SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, user privileges, and object privileges.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and design skills.
• Experience in performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.
• Knowledge of ETL processes to load large volumes of data at speed (e.g., SQL Loader).
• Experience in a Linux environment and basic Unix commands.
• Experience working with teams in Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Core Java, Python, and scheduling tools like Control-M is a plus.
• Experience in database modeling.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technology and business partners.
