About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer position at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is a critical role that requires a strong technical background in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL, along with experience in various programming languages such as Unix Shell, Perl, or Python. The ideal candidate will have extensive proficiency in modern RDBMS products, particularly Oracle's latest version, and familiarity with PostgreSQL is considered a plus. This role involves working with the Informatica Platform, where the developer will apply best practices for Informatica PowerCenter, Data Transformation, and Informatica B2B Data Exchange products. A strong understanding of Informatica design concepts is essential for success in this position. In addition to Informatica, the developer will be responsible for ETL processes and data modeling, which includes creating mappings, workflows, and implementing ETL concepts. The role requires the development of complex database objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL. Performance tuning of SQL and PL/SQL queries is also a key responsibility, along with the use of Standard Oracle Packages, Dynamic SQL, and PL/SQL tables. The candidate should be comfortable working in a UNIX/Linux environment and have experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SDLC best practices. Familiarity with Atlassian products like JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket is beneficial. Additionally, the role requires knowledge of DevOps practices, including tools like UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes. A good understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles is also necessary, along with programming skills in languages such as Java, Angular, or React, and frameworks like JPA and Spring Boot. Knowledge of API gateways, such as Gravitee, is a plus. Responsibilities

• Develop complex database objects including Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Create mappings, workflows, and implement ETL concepts using Informatica.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, including query rewriting and using Explain Plan and Hints.
• Utilize Standard Oracle Packages and Dynamic SQL for efficient database operations.
• Work with UNIX/Linux platforms and ensure smooth operations in these environments.
• Collaborate in Agile teams using Scrum and SDLC methodologies, leveraging tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Implement DevOps practices using tools such as UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
• Apply object-oriented analysis and design principles in software development.
• Develop and maintain applications using programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Angular, or React.

Requirements

• Excellent working knowledge and experience of SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix Shell (or Perl or Python).
• Extensive proficiency in modern RDBMS products, particularly Oracle (latest version) and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Informatica Platform and best practices for Informatica PowerCenter and Data Transformation.
• Strong ETL and data modeling experience, including creating mappings and workflows.
• Proficient in developing complex database objects and performance tuning SQL and PL/SQL queries.
• Solid experience with UNIX/Linux platforms and Agile methodologies.
