About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer position at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL, along with experience in various programming languages such as Unix Shell, Perl, or Python. The ideal candidate will have extensive proficiency in modern RDBMS products, particularly Oracle's latest version, and familiarity with PostgreSQL is considered a plus. This role involves working with the Informatica Platform, where the developer will apply best practices for Informatica PowerCenter, Data Transformation, and Informatica B2B Data Exchange products. A strong foundation in Informatica design concepts is essential for success in this position. The developer will be responsible for creating complex database objects, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL. Additionally, the role requires experience in SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query rewriting, and the use of Explain Plan and Hints. The candidate should also possess expertise in Collections, Exception Handling, Partitioning techniques, and BULK features, as well as familiarity with Analytics functions and External tables. A solid understanding of the UNIX/Linux platform is necessary, along with experience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and SDLC best practices. Familiarity with Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket is also required. The role demands thorough working experience with DevOps tools, UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD processes. Knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design principles is essential, as well as a good grasp of programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Angular, or React, JPA, Spring Boot, XML, and JSON. Experience with API gateways, such as Gravitee, is a plus. The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of database operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complex database objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, and Triggers using SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Create mappings, workflows, and implement ETL concepts using Informatica.
  • Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, including query rewriting and using Explain Plan and Hints.
  • Utilize standard Oracle packages and dynamic SQL for various database operations.
  • Implement best practices in Informatica PowerCenter and Data Transformation.
  • Work with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SDLC best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams using Atlassian products like JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucket.
  • Manage DevOps processes using tools like UC4, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
  • Apply object-oriented analysis and design principles in development tasks.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Angular, or React.

Requirements
