About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer role focuses on developing and maintaining database solutions within the energy domain, specifically tailored for the oil and gas industry. The position requires strong PL/SQL development skills and experience in database development, including ETL processes and performance tuning. The developer will collaborate with UI teams and applications, ensuring efficient data handling and processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for database applications.
• Collaborate with UI teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
• Design and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries for performance improvements.
• Conduct data analysis to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years and maximum of 12 years of working experience in PL/SQL development.
• Strong PL/SQL development skills with proficiency in database development.
• Experience with database partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, functions, and Oracle user-defined types.
• Proficient in using cursors, XML, JSON, and developing end-to-end jobs as part of ETL.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata.
• Familiarity with SingleStore/MySQL is a big plus.
• Experience with Python and exposure to DB connect libraries such as requests, json, pandas.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
