About the position

The Oracle PL/SQL Developer position is focused on backend development, requiring strong expertise in PL/SQL and database development. The role is based in Houston, TX, and involves working on-site during weekdays. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PL/SQL development, database tuning, and data analysis, particularly within the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for database applications.
• Utilize database features such as partitions, dbms jobs, packages, procedures, and functions.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL tuning to optimize performance.
• Conduct data analysis to debug, trace, and resolve performance issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years and maximum of 10 years of working experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong PL/SQL development skills and proficiency in database development.
• Experience with database tuning and performance optimization.
• Ability to analyze data for debugging and performance improvement.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata.
• Experience with SingleStore/MySQL is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python and related libraries such as requests, json, and pandas.
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
